The vehicles we drive every day are complex. To keep them in top condition, they require regular maintenance and careful handling. Of course, there will inevitably be times when a light will come on on the dash to indicate something is wrong. These alerts are represented by their unique icon, which can be confusing, especially when displayed while driving on the road.
A nearly universal feature is that most motor vehicles are equipped with identical or at least similar hazard warning lights. While some of these standard alerts are more severe than others, you still want to be able to get the important information each one has to offer.
Whether you’re a new driver or just need a refresher, it’s best to have a working knowledge of your vehicle and all of its features. For more examples of dashboard lights you should know about, see the attached resource.
